You cannot see both worlds, for each of them involves a different kind of seeing, and depends on what you cherish. ACIM T-13.VII.2:2

In quiet reflection, look deeply upon this reality and say to yourself:
"The real world is not like this.
It has no buildings, and there are no streets where people walk alone and separately.
There are no stores where people buy an endless list of things they do not need.
It is not lit with artificial light, and night comes not upon it.
There is no day that brightens and grows dim.
There is no loss.
Nothing is there but shines, and shines forever." (1:1-7)
The material world we cherish dearly appears very real to us, while we deny the real world, the world of spirit.
The power of these worlds is unequal, as is their allure; each holding an attraction; however, there is an immense difference in their power of attraction.
The world we see has failed us over and over again; our decorated homes have not protected us from pain and sorrow.
Buildings and roads crumble to dust for all things in this reality know death.
Worshiping the ego god casts a dark shadow over the real world, hiding it from sight, making it impossible to see both worlds at the same time.
"The world you see must be denied, for sight of it is costing you a different kind of vision."(2:1)
Compromised vision enables sight of only one reality at a time and each sight depends on what is valued.
Because we have assigned this world, immense value, we have become imprisoned in a nightmarish reality agonizing in knowing we have to leave it behind.
Allegiance to the ego reality while denying the celestial world blinds us to truth keeping it obscured.
"Yet, the real world (because you love it) has the power to touch you even here ...... And what you call with love will come to you." (4:1-2)
Precious Friends:
This ego world is not real, only the world of Love is real - your true reality! Be Love!
