You have projected guilt blindly and indiscriminately, but you have not uncovered its source. ACIM T-13.II.5:5

Our greatest hurdle is an unconscious belief that we crucified the Self, the Son of God.

The ego mind ( with which we identify)  has not admitted to this "terrible" secret

because deep down it still wishes to "nail him to the cross" if he could be found.  

Because we are  invested heavily in the ego mind, we have come to believe its goal is also ours.

When ego is confronted by the pure innocence of God's Son, it attempts to kill him because in its mind, "guiltlessness is blasphemous to God."

 Since ego  believes that it 'is' God, it interprets guiltlessness "as the final guilt that fully justifies murder."  

This manner of thinking caused the Son of God to hide from us, and because the "secret" contains malice intentions, we fear finding him.

In dealing with this sick desire and the guilt attached to it, we decided to destroy our true identity by forgetting who we really are, identifying with something else. We put on a mask and pretend to be something we are not.

From that point forward, we have tried to rid ourselves of this guilt, ruthlessly projecting its ugliness onto others,  completely oblivious as to how it originated.

Ego fears the discovery of our  innate purity, innocence and Oneness  because awareness of this truth will cause this world to disappear.

 Ego's insane reasoning culminates the sum of all madness within a delusional split-mind - our mind!  And yet leaving this reality is very frightful.

"Crucifixion is the symbol of the ego." (6:1)

Your individual death seems more valuable than your living oneness, for what is given you is not so dear as what you made. Pg. 243 T-13.III.5:3

We create our reality and there our treasures lie along with all its  insanity. 

We did not; however, create love which is why it is often misinterpreted, abused, and absent from this world.

We'd rather bow in servitude to self-attacks and attacking others, suffering, and death; rather than embrace our kinship as the Son of God, our living Oneness.

Negativity that surrounds this world creates a perfect breeding ground for the ego's belief system, welcoming an endless flow of darkness.

God, pure love, terrifies the mind. 

We have been repeatedly told that we are 'sinners' and will be punished by Him, and naturally blame God for all the tragedies in this world. Love cannot enter where it is not wanted. 

We are more fearful of God than of ego. Redemption, release from this reality, is more frightening than death.

It is crucial to face our illusionary demons.

Repressing and depressing them deep within the mind, temporarily hides them from view, appearing to restrain them in place.

However, this grave deception conceals a loving mind haunted by  an ancient guilt, imploring forgiveness and release.

Time creates the moment when ego's bag of bold emotional tricks, brazen distractions, and instigative attacks demanding sacrifice, no longer affects resistance to an urgent call for love.

The strong magnetic pull of perfect love and Oneness becomes impossible to ignore.

Lovely Companions: perhaps this could be the moment to let go of this insane reality and embrace Oneness!

It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are.

In the beginning, light beings embodied in matter understood their divine state, lived in a single body for many thousands of years.

As time progressed, a problem developed.

Immortal in the purity of unlimited thought, consciousness gradually became captivated by the excitement of experiencing the new dreamland of matter, slowly forgetting its divinity.

Enthralled by creating many things, along with the jarring effect of physical senses, the boundless mind began to consider restrictions, and  ideas such as envy, possessiveness, limited thoughts and concerns.

Fear seeped into consciousness; the body suffered from the negative energy of false beliefs, causing diseases, illness, and death.

Thoughts of survival began to lessen the power of thought and stimulation of the eternal life-force, causing it to fail, decreasing the ability to think logically.

 Embedded thought systems are not easy to change, reincarnations, initially a game, became a trap as divine infinite nature appeared to be lost. Human beings seemed doomed to reincarnate in ignorance forever or at least until the innate memory of Self can be restored.

Thought, filled with limitless potentiality, manipulates pure energy into infinite manifestations; from the most distant galaxy to smallest living creatures, the illusion of space and time to multiple personalities!

"You" composed of celestial light will discover that "you" are the creator and "awareness" of all things.

This awareness, the totality,  both what arises and that in which it arises - turns out to be who you really are!

There is absolutely nothing you can or have to do,

nor is there anything you have to wait for

to simply be what you already are.

Just sit there right now.

Don't do a thing.

Just rest.

For your separation from God is the hardest work in the world."
